NTDA partners Automechanika Birmingham 2023
Automechanika Birmingham will be partnering with the National Tyre Distribution Association (NTDA) for its 2023 event. Taking place from 6 to 8 June 2023 at the NEC, Automechanika Birmingham 2023 will be the first UK event since 2019 and is already set to be a sell-out show packed with new brands exhibiting, features and training hubs for collision repair, electric vehicles, ADAS and more.
NTDA Chief Executive Stefan Hay commented: “We hope that more of our supplier members will join the hundreds of other businesses at the largest national gathering of automotive professionals in the UK and showcase their latest parts, components, equipment, tools, technologies and services this year. Of course, we also hope that as usual many of our full tyre distributor and fast fit centre members will also visit this fantastic event and come to meet the NTDA team.”
NTDA aftermarket members including Absolute Alignment, Autogem, HaynesPro and Silkmoth who have already signed up to exhibit, can expect to see 12,000 visitors, 50 per cent of which will be aftermarket professionals, 25 per cent motor factors and parts distributors and 25 per cent dealers, retailers and franchisers.
The show will provide a comprehensive programme of more than 168 hours of free skills training, technical talks and topical discussions on current industry issues and inspiring new technology, as well as live demonstrations all presented from industry experts. These include:
Alex Jones, marketing director of event organisers Messe Frankfurt UK, said: “We’re looking forward to having the NTDA with us again for this year’s event. It’s great to get support from all areas and associations across the automotive aftermarket industry to ensure we are offering the best visitor and exhibitor experience. Whether you’re an exhibitor or a visitor, it’s definitely not one to miss.”
Event helps to bring joy to vulnerable people during festive times
Automechanika Birmingham has shared its specialist event expertise and knowledge by supporting the biggest ever free Christmas party, One Day at Christmas, arranged by events industry publisher, Mash Media, for those who are alone or vulnerable over the festive period.
Held on 5 December simultaneously in London, Birmingham and Glasgow, the events industry pulled together to support the dedicated initiative, welcoming over 900 people across the three venues, giving lots of elderly and lonely people a moment to remember this Christmas.
Automechanika Birmingham offered a helping hand with the designing of invitations, organising the guestlist and more.
Alex Jones concluded: “It is such a wonderful initiative and as an industry, events are able to bring people together for a joyful experience – something that everyone should enjoy during the festive season. We’re so pleased the One Day at Christmas party brought joy to over 900 people this year! We’re looking forward to supporting One Day at Christmas once again next year as we’re very passionate about helping those who are lonely and vulnerable, particularly through our work with automotive mental health charity BEN.”
With more than two million people in England over the age of 75 living alone, and more than a million older people saying they go for over a month without speaking to a friend, neighbour or family member, Christmas can often be an isolating holiday.
Guests at the One Day at Christmas party enjoyed a traditional Christmas dinner, as well as entertainment in the form of carol singing, bingo and festive games.
