New year, new HQ: Yokohama Rubber relocating

Yokohama Rubber reports that the relocation to a new headquarters at the site of its Hiratsuka factory in Japan will commence 10 January 2023. The various head office departments will make the shift from Tokyo to Hiratsuka City in seven steps over the following two months, with the move complete by 6 March.

The new head office is located at 2-1 Oiwake, Hiratsuka City, Kanagawa Prefecture, 254-860. Yokohama Rubber explains that aim of the relocation is to increase operating efficiency by bringing the management of core functions together in one site while also promoting “work-style reforms.”

Not all employees will make the move to Hiratsuka. The head offices of subsidiaries Yokohama Tire Japan Co., Ltd., and Yokohama Industrial Products Japan Co., Ltd., as well as certain Yokohama Rubber sales and marketing departments, will relocate to a newly established Tokyo business office in January. This is located at Shinagawa Intercity Tower C 13th floor, 15-3 Konan 2-chome, Minato-ku, Tokyo 108-6213.
