CAM makes donation to customers’ local food banks
CAM has donated groceries to a selection of customers’ local food banks around the UK, replacing its usual Christmas gifts. The donation recognises the widespread cost of living crisis being felt around the country, with food poverty expected to be experienced by many households this winter.
Chris Allen, CAM head of product & people, explains, “With such hardship in the UK at the present time, the CAM team was adamant that it wanted to break with the usual Christmas gift tradition and donate the equivalent sum of money to purchase much-needed food for so many. I’m really proud of the whole team for getting behind this very worthwhile cause, when there are families who are genuinely struggling to put food on the table.”
Each local CAM customer will receive a card to explain the donation, naming the local foodbank that has received the support. Foodbanks chosen include Eastleigh Basics Bank, Winchester Basics Bank, Runcorn & District Foodbank, Worcester Foodbank, South Ayrshire Foodbank, Enniskillen Foodbank, Stafford Foodbank, Redditch Foodbank, Dartford Foodbank, Aylesbury Foodbank, Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank, Newtonabbey Foodbank, Hamilton District Foodbank, Andover Foodbank and Coalville Foodbank.
