BKT launches Agrimaxfactor 70 series
BKT has launched the Agrimaxfactor 70 series, a new tyre for tractors that suits both transport and soil tillage operations. The multinational tyre manufacturer says the new Agrimaxfactor product line demonstrates BKT’s commitment to new solutions for an increasingly demanding market. In this case, the product responds to the need for bigger tyres; prompted by an in-depth study of market trends as well as customer and user feedback, BKT utilised its latest technologies and aesthetic design capabilities to supply improved on and off-road handling and stability, while anticipating the needs of new electric vehicles in the sector.
The Agrimaxfactor features an improved tread design with reoriented, deeper lugs. These provide improved handling and smooth roadability compared to previous products. The tyre also achieves better stability and a fast steering-response, BKT says, even at high speeds and under heavy-duty service. These characteristics have been realised through a strong carcass made with polyester, replacing nylon. The tyre has six polyester belts and four strong polyester plies for higher stability at every speed. BKT adds that another advantage of this technology is Increased operator comfort.
The Agrimaxfactor displays BKT’s “E-READY” logo, which demonstrates its commitment to electric mobility. BKT says it will extend this feature to all products falling under this category, highlighting its innovative technologies specified for electric vehicles. These offer tyre-makers new challenges and different needs, requiring a high torque moment and the ability to withstand increased load. High torque vehicles require new tread designs and compounds better able to resist wear.
BKT has also overhauled the aesthetic properties of its new product: the Agrimaxfactor logo on the tyre uses the exclusive BKT font with the appealing “F” for Factor at the centre within a fully dynamic shape.
The Agrimaxfactor for diverse conditions in the fields and on the road is available in three fitments initially: 600/70 R 30, 710/70 R 42 with load and speed indices 173 D and 176 D. Twelve additional sizes are under development and will be ready for launch by the first half of 2023.
