Apollo Tyres has appointed Rajasekhara Reddy as Group Head, Supply Chain for its Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa (APMEA) region. In his new role, Reddy leads the regional SCM team and takes responsibility for providing leadership and direction to the regional SCM function. He will work with the tyre maker’s sales, marketing, commercial and manufacturing teams to improve customer service levels, reduce costs and delivery of supply chain cross functional projects.
Commenting on Reddy’s appointment, Satish Sharma, president, Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa (APMEA), Apollo Tyres Ltd says: “Raj is a global supply chain leader who joins us as a key member of the APMEA Executive Committee. His rich experience in supply chain digitalisation, supply chain transformation, end-to-end planning, global logistics and distribution and customer service would be key to increasing the organisation’s efficiencies.”
Rajasekhara Reddy joins Apollo Tyres from Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, where he was vice-president for global demand planning and logistics. Prior to that, he was associated with Hindustan Coca Cola Beverages and L’Oreal across various geographies. Reddy is based at Apollo Tyres’ corporate headquarters in Gurugram, India and reports to Satish Sharma.
“I am delighted to join this dynamic and growing organisation, which is a leader in product technology and sustainability initiatives,” states Reddy. “In addition to the digitalisation of supply chain, I would also be focusing on the increased usage of environmentally responsible practices within the overall supply chain network of the organisation.”
