Pyrum’s Pascal Klein a Capital ‘Top 40 under 40’
Pascal Klein, co-founder and chief executive officer of pyrolysis end-of-life tyre recycler Pyrum Innovations AG, has been named a winner of the ‘Top 40 under 40’ award by German business magazine Capital.
Once a year, the Capital editorial team selects 40 of the most important talents aged under 40 from the fields of business, science, politics and society, interviewing top officials, managers, entrepreneurs, consultants and past award winners as part of the selection process. This year’s awardees were honoured at the Top 40 Under 40 Gala in Berlin, which took place on 17 November.
“I was really surprised when I heard about the award and of course I feel very honoured,” comments Pascal Klein. “Our journey at Pyrum is far from over and we want to continue to contribute towards establishing a circular economy in Germany and beyond. At this point, I would also like to thank all my colleagues who have made the great development of the last few years at Pyrum possible.”
Pascal Klein founded Pyrum in 2008 together with his fellow board member Michael Kapf. Pyrum became a public limited company (Aktiengesellschaft) in 2018, and since that time Klein has chaired the company’s board of directors as chief executive officer and has played a key role in successfully developing the firm’s technology into a pyrolysis process that now functions on an industrial scale. This laid the foundation for Pyrum’s large-scale rollout, which has been implemented step by step over the past two years. To finance the expansion, Klein, together with his fellow board members, was responsible for Pyrum’s successful IPO on the Oslo Stock Exchange in September 2021 and the secondary listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in March 2022.
