Polestar 2 BST Edition 270 fits P-Zero Elect tyres
Pirelli’s P Zero Elect has been chosen as original equipment (OE) for the limited-edition Polestar 2 BST Edition 270. The most powerful version of the Polestar 2 to date, the car will be fitted with 245/35 R21 UHP tyres developed to meet the specific characteristics of the electric car.
“Pirelli responded to the manufacturer’s requirements with a P-Zero Elect tyre characterized by a high load index and an HL marking on the sidewall. The main goals during development were tyre performance and optimization of the typical properties of an electric car, without compromising safety at any point,” Pirelli representatives wrote in a statement.
Pirelli’s Elect marking indicates that this P-Zero tyre has been developed to complement the characteristics of battery-electric vehicles.
Polestar is a joint venture between car manufacturer Volvo Car Corporation and Volvo’s owner Chinese carmaker Geely. Production takes place in China.
