Marangoni Germany exhibits Westlake OTR tyres at Bauma 2022

Zhongce Rubber’s Westlake brand OTR tyres made an appearance at Bauma 2022 in Munich, Germany alongside its sales partner, Marangoni Retreading Systems Deutschland (MRSD). The two companies have also cooperated in Italy; the latest Westlake tyres manufactured by Zhongce Rubber will also appear in the Italian market via Marangoni. According to John Ruddy, sales manager for OTR tyres in Europe, Zhongce Rubber is pursuing a “strict one-brand policy” in Germany. The tyre company also has Goodride-brand OTR tyres as a complement to the Westlake brand – but not for the German market.

In the European OTR tyre market, radial tyres in 25, 29 and 33-inch sizes are selling quite well. According to reports, among all Westlake products, CB763 has the highest sales volume. This tyre is mainly used on wheel loaders and dump trucks and is available in 25-inch and 29-inch sizes. CB773 and CB790 wheel loader tyres are also popular. The CB790 also has 33-inch options.

According to Ruddy, Westlake brand OTR tyres have superior retreadability. This advantage makes them a good fit for MRSD, which has been in the tyre retreading business for a long time, and eventually led to the cooperation between the two companies in Italy.
