Bridgestone tyres for Lexus RX

Days after announcing that its Alenza is an original equipment fitment on the all-electric BMW iX, Bridgestone shares that the fifth generation Lexus RX will also roll on these tyres. Lexus will equip models of the hybrid SUV sold in Europe and Japan with Alenza 001 tyres, while Bridgestone will supply the Alenza Sport A/S for versions of the Lexus RX sold in North America.

Bridgestone utilised its Eliten technology for both the Alenza 001 and Alenza Sport A/S and thus builds them upon casings that reduce rolling resistance. Bridgestone customised each of the tyres’ contact patches and patterns for the RX to “deliver both superior and comfortable driving experience and driving performance.” The tyre maker explains that it “thereby achieved delivering maximum value based on the usage conditions of customers in their respective regions.”

The Lexus RS wears the Bridgestone Alenza 001 in size 235/50R21 101W and the Alenza Sport A/S in 235/60R19 103V and 235/50R21 101V.
