Avayler wins ATU contract in Germany
Halfords Group reports that its Avayler software is not only driving the group’s internal financial performance, but is also expanding into Europe as a product in its own right. Specifically, Halfords reports that Avayler has signed a contract to supply its services to well-known German autocentre chain ATU, which is part of the Mobivia group. According to Halfords, the roll-out is set to start in Germany through ATU’s mobile fleet.
Furthermore, Avayler’s European expansion is described as the company’s “third international customer”, something that suggests the division is beginning to gain a degree of traction in the market.
The ATU contact announcement follows a number of strategic appointments within Halfords Group, including senior Avayler executives. For example, in June 2022 Halfords appointed Ryan Naughton as customer success director – UK & EMEA.
Naughton’s appointment was ostensibly associated with the development of Halfords Avayler proprietary retail and distribution software business. However, Tyres & Accessories understands that the role covers Halfords software-as-a-service as well as Avayler in the Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region.
Prior to joining Halfords/Avayler, Naughton spent just over nine years in various management roles at well-known tyre industry software solution provider, Cam Systems. Latterly, he was executive director for the UK’s leading provider of software solutions to the tyre industry.
