Midas partnership: Up to 100 new centres in Africa
Midas, the tyre fast fit and automotive service network owned by French firm Mobivia, is expanding in Africa through three new partnerships. The company has signed agreements in Nigeria with Carbon, in Kenya with Motus Group and in Ethiopia with Atlantic Trust. Mobivia believes this trio of partnerships will potentially result in around a hundred new centres within ten years.
Carbon is exclusive distributor of Sumitomo Rubber’s Dunlop tyre range in Nigeria and distributes the brand in some 20 African countries.
Motus Group is an automotive leader employing 17,000 people in South Africa, the UK, Australia, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Malawi. It aims to further develop its business in Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia and Malawi, with its Motus Africa subsidiary taking responsibility for these four countries.
Atlantic Trust Holding is a private investment holding company that invests in various services in Africa and Asia such as television, finance, oil and gas, mining, real estate and drones. It aims to develop business with operational partners, in Ethiopia, Cameroon, Rwanda, DR Congo, Uganda and Mauritius.
