Linglong signs building contract for Serbia tyre plant

Recently, Linglong Tire signed a cooperation agreement with CCCC First Highway Engineering Group. CCCC First Highway Engineering Group will lead the continuing construction of the Serbian project of Linglong International Europe into the plant’s next phase. The plant produced its first tyre, an Eplus-01 truck and bus radial tyre, on 27 June.

It is reported that CCCC First Highway Engineering Group’s main task is to be responsible for the current and subsequent construction projects and to promote the construction progress of Linglong’s European project. The two parties did not disclose the specific cooperation details.

In 2018, Linglong said it would build a tyre factory in Serbia. The project will be constructed in three phases, with a designed annual production capacity of 13.62 million high-performance tyres, including 12 million sets of PCR tyres, 1.6 million sets of TBR tyres, and 20,000 sets of engineering and agricultural radial tyres. On October 12, Linglong stated through the interactive platform of the Shanghai Stock Exchange that the Serbian factory is in the stage of equipment debugging and plant finishing and has not yet officially put it into production.

Linglong chairman, president Wang Feng, and CCCC First Highway Engineering Group Deputy General Manager Liu Dongyuan jointly attended the cooperation meeting. According to the data, Linglong has cooperated with CCCC First Highway Engineering Group several times. CCCC First Highway Engineering Group is also one of the companies involved in Linglong’s Serbia project in the early stage.
