2022 Asian Tyre Brand rankings revealed
The World Brand Lab has released the list of Asia’s 500 most influential brands in 2022. Tyrepress analysis shows seven brands related to tyres among those ranked, namely: Bridgestone, Hankook, Kumho, Doublestar Linglong, Sailun, and Sumitomo. The Sumitomo brand involves diversified industries, but its subsidiary Sumitomo Rubber is a world-renowned tyre manufacturer.
Among these brands are two from Japan, Bridgestone and Sumitomo, Hankook and Kumho from South Korea, and the remaining are Chinese brands: Doublestar, Linglong and Sailun. The ranking shows that the brand influence of Japanese and Korean tyres is still more significant than that of Chinese tyre brands.
Kumho Tire’s ranking improved by six compared to the previous year, the most improvement among all tyre brands. It is reported that this tyre company has been pursuing a continuously improving product matrix, an efficient and advanced intelligent manufacturing system and a solid and stable brand building in recent years. At present, Kumho Tire has eight manufacturing plants and five R&D centres and has successively launched Ecsta PS71, Ecowing ES33 and other products.
In addition to Kumho Tire, the brand rankings of Sumitomo, Double Star Tire, Linglong, and Sailun improved slightly compared with the previous year.
Statistics show that the 500 shortlisted brands come from 20 countries. Market share, brand loyalty and Asian leadership are essential indicators of this ranking.
