VMI helps Stelvio for Life fight against cancer
A team of 47 colleagues from VMI facilities in Epe, the Netherlands and Leszno, Poland participated in the Stelvio for Life challenge on Saturday 3 September. With this, they raised over 86,000 euros in the fight against cancer.
Each year, VMI participates in a challenging sportive event to raise money for charity. After two years of not being able to participate in such a fundraising event, the company says it was “very happy” to be able to make a contribution to the almost 1.2 million euros raised with the Stelvio for Life event. The money goes to cancer research for personalised, patient-oriented treatment of cancer.
VMI runners, walkers and cyclers challenged the Stelvio in Northern Italy and climbed the 21 kilometres up hill. 24 cyclers participated in the XXL challenge, climbing the Stelvio twice from two different sides.
