Maxam introduces MS700 industrial tyre
New material handling high performance tyre incorporates EcoPoint3TM liquid-mixed compound for increased durability and efficiency
Maxam Tire has launched its new MS700 material handling industrial tyre, following the recent MS600 press-on solid tyre. Developed in Maxam’s newly opened, fully owned state-of-the-art solid tyre factory, the tyre includes the brand’s new “liquid gold” patent-pending compound technology, EcoPoint3TM. Maxam says its new mixing process helps the tyre deliver “unmatched performance and productivity”.
EcoPoint3TM compounding addresses the rolling, skid, and wear resistance properties of the tyre. The process allows the MS700’s liquid-mixed masterbatches to be produced with less filler, higher ratios of stress at elongation, and minimal impurities, Maxam says. As a result, the process produces compound of optimal consistency, making the new solid tyre stronger, safer, and more energy-efficient. Maxam says the tyre “represents a breakthrough in performance and productivity.”
The advanced automation of Maxam’s solid tyre factory also ensures the three-stage compound construction produces evenly layered compound uniformity, improving forklift safety. The MS700 features a five-degree sidewall taper and a unique tread to offer combined traction and tyre life properties. The tyre incorporates a superior centre compound with heat resistance and shock absorption, making the MS700 suited for use in the most demanding industrial applications.
The MS700 was developed for maximum lifting capabilities, even for applications used in port, with one of the widest footprints in its class, according to Maxam. Designed with a distinctive tread pattern and smooth centre line, the tyre also enhances steering and prevents chunking in aggressive applications.
“Continuing the innovative development of the press-on MS600 we launched earlier this year, and creating the evolutionary EcoPoint3TM compound technology, the new MS700 series represents MAXAM Tire’s commitment to providing unmatched performance, value, and efficiency to the industrial market,” says Troy Kline, president of Maxam Tire North America. “Focusing on simplifying productivity when creating the series, we are confident that the new programs will boost industry standards globally and provide the solutions that our customers deserve.”
