Jon Taylor to lead Point S Tyre & Autocare training

Point S Tyre & Autocare has appointed Jon Taylor as UK and European training manager. Taylor will now create a new Training Academy for Point S tyre dealer and maintenance networks across Europe.

More specifically, Taylor will be responsible for researching, managing, and overseeing “a market-leading training programme for members of the Point S network”. A significant part of the programme will be “dedicated training courses on Electric Vehicle (EV) maintenance”, something that reflects Point S’s goal of “helping to futureproof its members’ businesses”.

Jon Taylor previously led the development of Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) and EV training programmes for Jaguar Land Rover.

Point S is aiming to become the largest qualified and certified European network for EV maintenance by 2026. Taylor will begin by consulting with Point S members and conducting a Training Needs Analysis across Europe. In the longer term, his objective is to manage and oversee the creation and delivery of bespoke training programmes.

Commenting on his new position, Jon Taylor said, “I am excited at the prospect of building a bespoke Point S training programme, drawing on the experience and knowledge gained in my previous roles. Here, I am starting with a blank canvas, so it’s a unique opportunity to create bespoke training that is meticulously researched, comprehensive in scope, and highly tailored to the needs of Point S members”.
