FCC TSR Honda France wins FIM Endurance World Championship on Bridgestone Tyres
FCC TSR Honda France has won the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme Endurance World Championship (EWC) title on Bridgestone’s Battlax tyres. This is the third time a team supplied by Bridgestone has won the world’s foremost series of endurance motorcycle races since 2018. The second placed Yoshimura Sert Motul ranked second in the EWC series, also on Bridgestone tyres. Bridgestone has supplied grippy, durable Battlax tyres to the EWC since 2017. It says this motorsport deal, alongside its other global motorsport partnerships, embodies its commitment to inspire mobility excitement under Bridgestone’s E8 strategy.
“I am very pleased and honoured to win the EWC championship by using Bridgestone tyres,” said Masakazu Fujii, team manager of FCC TSR Honda France. “However, it has been a challenging season with lots of hardships. Although the race in Bol d’Or was full of troubles as we expected, we fully understood what we could do and we did our best. I believe this is why we have survived. After the early retirements of the top ranked teams, we were forced to respond to irregular issues. Under such circumstances, we have focused on the title, and finally, we came from behind to win. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the riders, mechanics, team staff, and everyone who warmly supported us.”
“I would like to congratulate all members of F.C.C. TSR Honda France on their EWC title,” Said Naotaka Horio, director, Motorsport Division, Bridgestone Corporation. “Bridgestone is very proud to have contributed to their series championship for the second time since 2018 by supplying tyres that draw out the best possible performance of both riders and their bikes.”
