Falken restructures European management team
In response to growth in recent years, Falken Tyre Europe GmbH has added a further tier to its management. It says this change will ensure Falken can “continue to respond quickly and efficiently” to changes in the market and also meet demands within the organisation.
As part of this restructuring, Andreas Giese (chief corporate officer) and Mario Pannwitz (chief information officer) join Keiichi Miyamoto (chief financial officer) in the Falken Tyre Europe executive team. Giese is responsible for the areas of Corporate Planning, Product Planning and Sales Administration. He joined Falken in 2013. Pannwitz, who has been at Falken since 2019, has taken responsibility for the IT divisions, which includes both general IT as well as SAP, E-Business and Business Intelligence.
Further additions to management team
Falken Tyre Europe will add “additional key positions” to the management tier over the medium term. These new team members will work together to “improve the agility of the company” and to “optimise the internal organisational structure.” They will report directly to Markus Bögner, the company’s chief operating officer and president.
“With the implementation of these changes and the new structure of our management, the operational side of Falken Tyre Europe will benefit in the long term,” says Bögner. “These changes are a result of the continuous expansion of our company and will ensure that the company and its employees are best prepared for the future of the tyre market.”
Long-term employees – human & canine
Falken’s workforce has quadrupled in size during the last ten years, with 220 people from 24 nations now working at the company. The company expresses pride in its employees’ loyalty, noting that the founding team is still almost completely on board with eight employees, and almost 20 per cent of the workforce has been in the company for more than ten years. This year, 11 employees having celebrated their tenth year of service at Falken, including the Falken company dog, ‘Ranger’, who has also been part of the team for a decade.
