Bauma launch for Continental LD-Master L5 Traction tyre
Promising a “smooth ride and long service life despite heavy loads and abrasive surfaces,” Continental will debut the new LD-Master L5 Traction radial at the Bauma show in Germany this October. It will initially offer this latest addition to the ContiEarth range for loaders operating on abrasive surfaces in size 35/65 R33. In addition, Continental will present its EM-Master E3/L3 as a 65-series tyre for construction and surface applications at Bauma and also provide a sneak preview of a new solid skid steer tyre.
Construction machines usually operate with heavy payloads and are exposed to a variety of harsh ground conditions, such as rock, gravel or rubble. Continental specifically designed the LD-Master L5 Traction for loaders operating on abrasive surfaces and working on jobs where high productivity and assured vehicle uptime are of the upmost importance.
The reinforced 3* casing satisfies the highest load carrying capacity requirements, even under extensive production cycles. The L5 traction tread pattern protects the casing and ensures a smooth and safe operation on the construction site. The solid tread block design always provides secure traction. The extra deep tread and sidewall protection also make the tyre more robust and ensures long term productivity.
Optimised service life via ContiConnect 2.0
To minimise idle time and ensure serviceability even under harsh conditions, tyres fitted to construction machinery should be controlled as precisely as possible. The LD-Master L5 Traction is fitted with an integrated tyre sensor ex-works, making monitoring possible in real time. The sensor monitors temperature and tyre pressure, assuring at all times the most efficient operation mode for a long tyre life.
