Zeta offers enhanced all-season, winter range
For the forthcoming winter season in Europe, SD-International will present an extensive collection of Zeta branded winter and all-season tyres at what it calls “highly competitive prices”. The latest tyres in the range include the Zeta Active 4S, a high performance asymmetric pattern designed to deliver superior driving comfort on dry, wet and light snow road conditions.
The all-season tyre features multiple sipes across the tread area to improve traction in all types of weather and road conditions. The tyre also has a shoulder design with variable pitching for significantly higher stability and lower noise levels. Finally a special silica compound provides increased mileage, the manufacturer says.
The car tyre is joined by the Zeta Active Power 4S non-directional all-weather pattern for the van and light commercial sector. The tread design offers balanced light commercial performance, the manufacturer states, with sipes optimised to improve wet grip and traction on all road surfaces. The tyre features large shoulder blocks for extra strength and stiffness, improving handling and braking performance. Its silica compound also reduces wear and rolling resistance. Zeta says it has improved heat dispersal properties in its all-season range with a new compound formula to increase fuel economy and milage.
Zeta offers five different patterns in studless and studdable options: the Antarctica 5, Antarctica 6, Antarctica 8, Antarctica Ice and Antarctica Sport. The studless Antarctica 5 was designed for the PCR sector, offering superior comfort, shorter braking distances and extended tread life, SD-International says. The compound and pattern arrangement are designed to offer good driving characteristics in all winter weather conditions. The manufacturer states that it used simulation programmes to improve water ejection.
The Zeta Antarctica 6 is another studless pattern for 4×4 and SUV vehicles designed to combat challenging all-terrain roads and give superior aquaplaning characteristics, enhancing driving stability on wet surfaces.
The Zeta Antarctica 8 studless van pattern incorporates three wide longitudinal grooves to further enhance swift water dispersal, improve overall handling and braking and hydroplaning resistance. A series of blocks along with high density 3D sipes increases safety and driving performance. The tyre’s drainage grooves on both sides of the shoulder area work in tandem to drain snow, slush and water effectively, maximising the tread’s contact with the road surface.
Zeta’s Antarctica range is rounded out with the studdable Ice and Sport patterns for the car and 4×4/SUV segments respectively. The tyres offer stability and precise steering on ice and snow with v-shaped tread profiles.
