Two new Magna patterns at Bauma
Magna Tyres will unveil two new mining patterns at this October’s Bauma trade fair in Germany. It will present the Magna MU30 for underground mining trucks and wheel loaders and the Magna MA60 articulated dump truck (ADT) tyre. Both will appear on the Magna Tyres stand (A6.425) in Hall 6 of the Messe München complex.
Magna MU30
The all-new Magna MU30 will be Magna Tyres’ “main priority” at Bauma. Introducing this addition to its portfolio, Magna says the MU30 incorporates a number of innovative features and benefits including massive lugs and a cut-resistant centre to ensure an extremely robust tread area leading to increased service life. It adds that a specially reinforced radial casing provides outstanding damage resistance and load capacity, while even more rugged sidewalls guarantee increased shock and abrasion resistance.
Production of the Magna MU30 commenced in size 26.5R25 and a 29.5R25 version joined the range this month.
Magna MA60
Offering a “unique tread lug and groove to give powerful traction,” Magna MA60 is Magna Tyres’ latest OTR pattern, and “depending on current research and development and manufacturing schedules,” the company aims to bring MA60 to Bauma ahead of its launch in size 800/80R29.
Magna says MA60 features a unique tread lug and groove to give a powerful forward and lateral traction arrangement plus superior operator comfort, whilst a radial E3/L3 long-lasting tread ensures maximised productivity and reduced long-term operating costs. Furthermore, it shares that a special rubber compound combined with an exceptionally robust casing guarantee even greater resistance to damage impact.
