Toyo Tires retains AIG Women’s Open partnership

For the fourth consecutive year Japanese tyre manufacturer Toyo Tires is partnering the AIG Women’s Open golf championship as a patron and the official tyre of the AIG Women’s Open.

This year’s championship will take place at Muirfield, Scotland from 4-7 August 2022. It will be the first time since 2019 that the tournament will be fully open to spectators, following the limited numbers allowed to attend last year.

The AIG Women’s Open is one of five major championships in women’s golf and is a major sporting event featuring the best female professional players from around the world. It is an annual championship held at world class courses across the UK. Muirfield is hosting the event for the first time.

Last year’s AIG Women’s Open, held at Carnoustie and won by Anna Nordqvist, marked the 21st playing of the event as a major on the women’s circuit, and the 45th playing overall. Nordqvist is one of 11 past Champions in the AIG Women’s Open field at Muirfield.

As a partner of the AIG Women’s Open, Toyo Tires has been on board since 2019 when it was played at Woburn in England, in 2020 at Royal Troon Golf Club in Scotland and Carnoustie Golf Links in 2021.
