Matador welcomes ‘next generation’ van tyres
Continental has launched the Matador Hectorra Van, and this successor to the MPS330 Maxilla 2 is distributed exclusively through Stapleton’s (Tyre Services) Ltd. retailers. Nine popular UK sizes are available.
Introducing the Matador-branded tyre, Stapleton’s says that Hectorra Van “revolutionises the old generation of van tyres” and “concentrates on the needs of today’s commercial vehicles.” It adds that this “versatile summer tyre meets every challenge, boosting high braking performance and low rolling resistance for safe and economical journeys.”
The wholesaler stresses that Matador tyres benefit from Continental’s “industry-leading technologies” and “deep understanding of modern driver demands.” These technologies include a hexagonal crown design of the central blocks combined with refined longitudinal grooves in the shoulder; Stapleton’s says these enhance braking power and safety. The tread compound is new as well and said to improve fuel efficiency and increase tyre life. Optimised rolling resistance “assures maximum performance throughout the tyre’s lifetime.” Regarding comfort, Stapleton’s shares that the tyre’s balanced tread pattern with its optimised sipe distribution “generates very little noise and delivers impressive ride comfort.”
Matador Hectorra Van is available in the following sizes: 195/70R15C, 205/65R16C, 235/65R16C, 215/65R15C, 215/65R16C, 215/60R17C, 185/75R16C, 225/75R16C and 225/55R17C.
