Continental Tires (China) appoints general manager
Veronique Giraud recently succeeded Dalibor Kalina as general manager of Continental Tires (China). Effective August 2022, Giraud will lead the tyre manufacturer’s business development and strategic direction in the Chinese market.
Giraud has worked at Continental for over 20 years and has extensive experience across regions and cultures. Prior to the China role, Giraud has had management responsibilities for Continental Tires in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. Her previous positions covered various fields such as marketing, business development, talent development and channel management.
Continental has a tyre factory in Hefei, China. The tyre maker has performed well in China in recent years. In an interview, one Continental Tires executive said that the company’s passenger car tyre sales in China in 2021 were about 6 billion yuan (about £742.8 million, 876.5 million euros).
