Tyrexpo Asia anticipating a Singapore ‘sell-out’
Singapore’s resurgence as a travel destination means that Tyrexpo Asia will soon return to its traditional home. Nine months out from the next planned show, organiser Tarsus Southeast Asia reports bookings from more than 100 international visitors, with half the floorspace across the three exhibition halls already occupied.
Indulging in a spot of name-dropping, Tarsus shares that the rollcall of companies already committed to exhibiting at the Marina Bay Sands Convention Centre between 8 and 10 March 2023 include Elgi Rubber (India), Davanti World (UK), Deldo NV (Belgium), Eldan Recycling (Denmark), Eversafe Rubber (Malaysia) and Stamford Tyres (Singapore).
“With Singapore’s health and travel regulations continuing to ease, international business momentum is gradually returning to normal with most seasoned tyre exhibitors ready to return to ‘Live’ shows to reignite their future business progression,” says Alwin Seow, events director at Tarsus Southeast Asia. “Tyrexpo Asia 2023’s sales division are currently in contact with over 200 interested companies with around a further 50 businesses expected to reserve a booth soon. So, after two years of uncertainty following the Covid pandemic we are fully confident the show on the 8th to 10th March will be a ‘sell-out’.”
No Tyrexpo Asia Bangkok
Singapore’s gain with the return of Tyrexpo Asia in 2023 is Bangkok’s loss. Due to the heavy restrictions that international visitors had faced when entering Singapore since early 2020, Tarsus decided in 2020 to move Tyrexpo Asia to Thailand. It announced that the show would open its doors at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC) on 26 October 2022. Tarsus was still promoting Tyrexpo Asia 2022 Bangkok as recently as March, but this event has been quietly dropped in favour of a return to Singapore.
