TMD Friction gives Autosuppies a Mintex braking Masterclass

The team at Autosupplies Chesterfield were given a specialist Mintex Masterclass training evening by TMD Friction’s technical training team, detailing the braking company’s manufacturing processes and product care advice.

Autosupplies Chesterfield’s sales team attended the Mintex Masterclass training delivered by Stuart Incledon, technical sales representative, and Scott Irwin, head of technical training at TMD Friction.

Scott Irwin MIMI, head of technical training at TMD Friction, said: “It’s essential that we deliver our training to not only the garages who fit our braking products, but also the sales teams who sell our braking products. We must ensure that the depth of technical knowledge we have here at TMD Friction is passed on to our network and the Mintex masterclass is one resource we have to help share this information.”

The seminar also covered the bedding in procedure, where brakes are run-in to assist in smooth braking operation and transfer a layer of friction material onto the disc, and the use of chamfers, shims and slots to prevent noise and vibration from the pads.
