Guizhou Tyre expands industrial tyres’ production
Guizhou Tyre (also known as Advance Tyre) is preparing to launch an industrial tyre manufacturing expansion project with an annual output of 300,000 a year. The total investment in this project is about 24 million yuan (£2.926 million; 3.486 million euros; US$3.588 million). The expansion project does not involve the acquisition of new land.
Tyrepress learned that Guizhou Tyre plans to increase the necessary moulding and vulcanisation equipment in the speciality tyre manufacturing workshop of the firm’s existing factory in Xiuwen County, Guiyang City, and use its factory buildings, public works and auxiliary facilities to increase its pneumatic industrial tyres’ production.
Guizhou Tyre said that the entire project’s construction period is about eight months, and it is expected to start construction in November 2022 and be completed and put into operation in June 2023. According to the plan, the 300,000 tyres a year output mainly involve four specifications, namely 6.5-10 (annual output is 65,000 pieces), 7.00R12 (annual output is 50,000 pieces), 28*9R15 (annual output is 35,000 pieces) and 6.50R10 (annual output is 150,000 pieces). If the 300,000 pieces industrial tyre project and other projects under construction are implemented, the Xiuwen plant’s annual production capacity is expected to be close to 12.5 million units.
The Xiuwen factory is a new plant built by Guizhou Tyre after its relocation in 2015. The tyre maker completely shut down the old plant in Guiyang City on 1 June 2021. All of the old factory’s production equipment has been relocated to the Xiuwen plant and only scrapped old equipment has not been transferred.
Guizhou/Advance Tyre is the 29th largest tyremaker in the world.
