Golf: Toyo Tires an Evian Championship partner

Toyo Tires is sponsoring the fourth of five majors on the international women’s golf tour 2022, the Amundi Evian Championship. The tournament begins today in Evian-les-Bains in France, overlooking Lake Geneva.

The Evian Championship has been held at the Evian Resort golf club since 1994 and has counted as a major tournament since 2013. Alongside the Women’s British Open, which Toyo Tires has sponsored since 2019, the Evian Championship is not only one of the world’s leading golf events, but also one of the largest tournaments.

This year, nine of the world’s top ten female golfers have confirmed their participation. A total of seven Japanese golfers are competing to become the first Japanese woman to win the tournament since Ai Miyazato in 2011.
