TyreSafe Briefing – 2 weeks to go
The countdown is on for the TyreSafe Briefing on Thursday 7 July, and the tyre safety organisation says it is looking forward to welcoming attendees back in person following a two-year hiatus. This year’s event takes place at St George’s Park, Burton Upon Trent, beginning at 1pm.
The line-up at the 2022 Briefing includes rising racing star Billy Monger as guest speaker. As well as providing expert views on tyres, Monger will share his inspiring story of overcoming massive adversity after a horrific crash and how he got back behind the wheel of his much-loved racing cars. He will be joined in the programme by Detective Superintendent Paul Keasey and National Highways, who will reveal the latest post-collision research, while National Highways will provide insight into the latest round of research into tyre tread depth at the point of replacement. Representatives from the emergency services who were involved in the tragic story surrounding Megan Byrne, including Police Sergeant Steve Hardman, will also speak.
Briefing attendees will also witness the launch of the new TyreSafe summer campaign ‘If your tyres don’t stop you….what will?’ and be the first to see the organisation’s Tyre Safety Month campaign materials ahead of the 31-day awareness campaign in October. Delegates will also have the opportunity to view selected displays and interactive exhibits highlighting road and tyre safety initiatives and technology.
