Giti GSR237 Combi Road launches in size 355/50R22.5

A completely new size for Giti Tire in Europe, the freshly-released Giti GSR237 Combi Road steer tyre in 355/50R22.5 offers a further fitment option for vehicles used in high load, low platform transportation. Giti Tire says it designed the GSR237 Combi Road to compete with premium brands – which up until now have been the only manufacturers producing this size.

Development of the Giti GSR237 Combi Road was led by Giti Tire’s European Research & Development Centre in Hannover, Germany. The manufacturer tested the steer tyre with fleet partners in Europe and shares that this testing revealed “enhanced abrasion resistance and superior mileage in both highway and reginal applications.”

EU tyre label ratings include a B score for rolling resistance and an A for noise. The presence of the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) sidewall marking confirms the year-round suitability of GSR237 Combi Road in countries with specific laws governing seasonal tyre use.

Beneficial addition to portfolio

“Tread characteristics include an extremely wide and robust design with three straight longitudinal grooves for effective water evacuation and deep transversal sipes to improve grip and traction on snow and ice,” shares Antonio Palummo, TBR senior engineer – Europe for Giti Tire. “Very robust shoulders protect the tyre from abrasion and have been proven to deliver regular wear.”
