Continental recalls 68,770 two-wheel tyres in the USA
At the start of May, in the USA, Continental issued a recall of 68,770 two-wheel tyres of which an estimated 10 per cent suffered from cracking in the tread groves during FMVSS 119 endurance testing.
The products in question cover several motorcycle tyre ranges including the TKC80, ContiGo!, K62 and LB tyre lines. The affected tyres were produced between 6 January 2019 and 30 April 2022. All the affected lines carry the H6 production plant ID.
According to the recall documentation, Continental Tire the Americas, LLC (CTA) “is not aware of any field complaints for this condition” and “has not received any reports of property damage or personal injury claims for the affected products.”
