Big O Tires names new President & COO
Brian Maciak has been named the new president and chief operating officer of US-based tyre retailer and automotive service network Big O Tires. He will take on this role on 1 July, following the retirement of Big O’s vice-president and general manager, Jim Bull.
Joining Big O Tires’ parent company TBC Corporation in 2009, Maciak has served in a number of roles, most recently taking oversight of Tire Automotive Group, which focuses on TBC’s B2C locations. “Big O is poised for growth driven by the entrepreneurial spirit, passion, and commitment of its franchisees,” says Maciak. “I am looking forward to having the opportunity to build upon the solid foundation that has led Big O to much success throughout the company’s 60-year history.”
TBC Corporation states that while an attorney by training, Maciak has “successfully led numerous business initiatives” during his 13-year tenure with the company, and anticipates that his “extensive industry experience and customer-centric focus” will serve him well in this new position. “Brian is committed to building strong relationships with each Big O franchisee and assisting them to reach their full potential.”
Growth under Jim Bull’s leadership
Over the past two years, and under Jim Bull’s leadership, Big O has achieved record sales and record profitability. He has helped expand the brand’s geographic footprint and implemented strategic initiatives to grow and support the organisation.
“It has been both my honour and privilege to be a member of the Big O Tires and TBC family for the last 17 years,” states Bull. “Over the years, I have been able to play a small part in helping our existing and new Big O franchisees achieve their dreams of successfully owning a small business. Helping franchisees achieve their personal and professional goals has provided me some of the most rewarding and fulfilling moments that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.”
Big O Tires is represented by more than 460 company-owned and franchised locations across the USA.
