Triangle to demonstrate global OTR position at Hillhead 2022
Multi-segment Chinese tyre manufacturer Triangle Tyre is closing in on a top 20 position in Tyres & Accessories’ chart of the sector’s leading companies, but the brand has a particularly strong presence in the OTR tyre segment, in which Triangle claims a rank of fourth. The company has distributed earthmover products within Europe for more than 15 years, with this business supported via the establishment of a regional head office in Milan, Italy in 2017. It now claims a double-digit market share in the European OTR segment, which it has achieved via the introduction of new sizes to expand its already-wide range; the establishment of new partnerships, such as its UK distribution arrangement with RH Claydon, which commenced in late 2020; and participation in international fairs, the next of which will be the UK’s Hillhead 2022 show on 21-23 June. Triangle will exhibit its latest OTR products at the Buxton quarry from stand E23.
Triangle’s current range offers products for such machinery as articulated and rigid dump trucks, loaders, bulldozers and underground mining machineries, and applications in quarries, construction sites, mines, and ports, with the tyres designed to offer rugged performance and lower running costs in the toughest of conditions. Triangle OTR tyres are manufactured using intelligent manufacturing to improve their efficiency, while the development of a professional OTR import network across Europe has allowed it to increase the level of support for OEM and replacement market customers.
Triangle’s original equipment partnerships represent one of its major assets; it supplies globally recognised names like Caterpillar, Volvo, Komatsu, Liebherr, Hyundai, Doosan and others, demonstrating confidence in Triangle tyres’ reliability, as well as the rigor of its testing and quality control. Triangle adds that it has developed products to reduce the cost per hour of Triangle OTR tyres too, increasing efficiency and site safety.
Some examples of its product range include new wheel loader tyres in the non-directional pattern TB598 L3 that provides extended life, in size 23.5R25, 26.5R25 and 29.5R25. For articulated dump trucks, the TB598S is a new option for applications where tyre wear is essential with optimized E4 tread depth and good self-cleaning properties, in size 33.25R29 and in 750/65R25. A three-star rating option has been added for the underground sector and block handling arrangements in the sizes 16.00R25, 18.00R25, 26.5R25, 29.5R25 and 35/65R33. All these tyres are capable of carrying high loads, with the top 63” sizes rated for payloads of more than 400 tons.
