Taneja leaving Michelin – Röttger named as successor
Anish K. Taneja and Michelin are parting ways. According to an internal memo that has been circulating since the end of last week, he will leave the French tyre maker at his own request on 1 June 2022. Michelin has also already appointed Taneja’s successor as president and chief executive officer of its Europe North region.
According to reports, Maria Röttger – currently secrétaire général and vice-president human resources at Michelin Europe North – will take over this role from next month. The press office within the regional headquarters in Frankfurt, Germany declined to comment on this information, but said a press released will be issued tomorrow.
We don’t yet know what role Taneja will move to after this month. He joined Michelin in 2013 from car rental company Sixt. At the end of 2020 he was also elected president of the German Rubber Industry Association (WdK) for a three-year term.
Michelin’s Europe North region includes Austria, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom.
