Hankook debuts global Instagram account
Hankook Tire has launched its official global Instagram account with a goal to tap into the Millennials and Generation Z, a demographic it collectively calls the ‘MZ Generation’. The Instagram channel will provide MZs with a “new brand experience” and will specifically feature its new iON family of electric vehicle tyres.
The tyre maker will work on building consumer engagement and intends to provide a wide range of content to increase synergy between digital marketing and sales, including topics such as the Formula E championship and original equipment for premium EVs.
“Hankook is continuously working to create a touchpoint with Generation Z and Millennials.” says Jimmy Kwon, vice-president of Hankook Tire’s Brand Lab. “Through the opening of the official Instagram channel, we hope to familiarise digital natives with our exciting new products specifically in the EV tyre segment and leverage Hankook brand as a more user-friendly, present company to the younger consumer groups.”
Hankook is launching iON, its first family of EV specific tyres in Europe, from May 2022 as the Hankook Ventus iON S summer tyre pattern. A winter tyre, the Hankook Winter i*cept iON, will follow in September. The Hankook Ventus iON A all-season tyre will be available for the North American market.
