Falken presenting e.Ziex at Tire Cologne

Later this month, Falken Tyre Europe will display a range of more than twenty tyre models at The Tire Cologne. This array of products will include several newcomers, such as the Falken e.Ziex electric car tyre, Azenis FK520 UHP tyre and Eurowinter HS02 and HS02Pro winter tyres.

Falken says the e.Ziex will be a “highlight” of its almost 400 square metre stand. This first Falken tyre specifically developed for electric vehicles will launch in European replacement markets in time for the 2023 summer season. “The Falken e.ZIEX is set to be one of the best tyres in terms of energy efficiency that the Sumitomo Group has ever developed and manufactured,” comments the tyre maker.

Pre-series models of the new Falken Eurowinter HS02 and Eurowinter HS02Pro winter tyres will also be on show. The HS02 is a further development of the popular Eurowinter HS01, while the HS02Pro is a new tyre aimed at drivers of sports cars and SUVs.

Another highlight at the trade fair stand will be Falken’s new top model, the Azenis FK520. This ultra-high-performance tyre has been available since the spring and builds on the successes of its predecessor, the Falken AZENIS FK510.

Sumitomo Tyres

Since the end of 2017, Falken has additionally distributed products under the ‘Sumitomo Tyres’ name. It says this second brand “combines precision engineering and the highest of quality with a cost-effective price.” The company will display a selection of the current Sumitomo Tyres portfolio in Cologne.

“We are delighted that we will finally be able to present the new additions, innovations and a large part of our product ranges to our customers live once again,” says Markus Bögner, chief operating officer and president of Falken Tyre Europe GmbH. “After the break that was forced on us by the pandemic, it is important for us to have direct contact with our retailers once again and to be able to present our innovations directly on location.”

The Falken stand will be in Hall 6.1 in the sections C010 and D019.
