BTRC 2022 will run exclusively on Giti Race-Tuned v1 tyres
The British Truck Racing Championship (BTRC) will run exclusively on Giti Race-Tuned v1 global competition truck tyres in size 315/70R22.5 in its 2022 season. The manufacturer, which is also returning as official tyre partner to the championship, will supply the tyre to all 20 trucks competing in the series. Giti’s two fully liveried trucks will compete in all races, driven by Team Oliver’s Stuart Oliver and his son, Michael Oliver. The team secured a first and second place during the five season-opening races at Brands Hatch on 16-17 April.
Three races this season coincide with hugely popular family events Convoy Cymru, Convoy on the Plain and Convoy in the Park which feature a range of truck, manufacturer and exhibitor displays plus stunt shows, live music and children’s entertainment. Giti Race-Tuned v1 global competition truck tyres are available to purchase via Truck Sport UK.
Tony McHugh, TBR sales and marketing director UK at Giti Tire, said: “We’ve had an excellent partnership with the BTRC for many years, and to take it forward into 2022 as exclusive tyre supplier really is a huge privilege and a massive boost for the Giti brand.
“As well as all the excellent marketing and social media opportunities it represents, we know that many of the teams find themselves working day-to-day in the transport sector and once they’ve experienced the Giti Race-Tuned v1 they doubtless want to know more about the truck and bus portfolio.”
