Alligator introduces RS+ TPMS Sensors following acquisition
Alligator has launched its new Sens.it RS+ Sensor, for use in 99.98 per cent of all vehicle models. According to the company, the latest production is “a customizable, universally compatible and cloneable option that reduces service time and saves costs on storage and logistics.”
The new TPMS sensor is dual-frequency, running at both 315MHz and 433MHz, 100 per cent OEM functionality and reportedly offers a 30 per cent improved battery life over previous sensor designs.
Alligator describes its Sens.it RS+ TPMS Sensors as “easy to install and easy to program.” They replicate full OEM functionality and are compatible with all leading programming tools. The RS+ TPMS Sensors join a diverse product line with US-based tech support and innovative German engineering.
“Our new RS+ TPMS sensors are exactly what the industry needs in today’s economy,” said Redon Merdani, Sens.it RS+ Project Manager at Alligator. “They are not pre-programmed, so they can be individually adapted to any vehicle model. This reduces the variety of sensors shops need to stock and makes work easier, saving time and money.”
“We all know vehicle-specific programming takes time, but universal sensors can be updated again and again, so they don’t become obsolete,” he added.
Alligator Ventilfabrik GmbH was sold to Wegmann Automotive in 2019. Under the umbrella brand of Wegmann automotive GmbH, more than a million Alligator products are now produced every day in Europe.
