Yokohama Tire promotes Polentz

Yokohama Tire Corporation (YTC) has promoted Ray Polentz to the role of senior director of supply chain and logistics. He will report to YTC president and chief executive officer Jeff Barna.

“Ray has been instrumental in helping us negotiate through the difficult and complex supply chain issues facing the industry,” says Barna. “His experience in all aspects of logistics – operations management, freight, transportation and warehouse operations – has made him a major asset to the company.”

Polentz, who works out of YTC headquarters in Santa Ana, California, joined Yokohama Rubber’s North American manufacturing and marketing arm in October 2017 as regional distribution centre manager. He was promoted to director of distribution operations in July 2018. Before joining Yokohama, Polentz had more than 15 years of supply chain and logistics experience.

Prior to his supply chain and logistics career, Polentz served in the US Army and was a police officer. Currently, he is pursuing his Master’s degree in Global Supply Chain Management at Purdue University.
