In-person TyreSafe Briefing scheduled for 7 July at National Football Centre
The 2022 TyreSafe Briefing will return as an in-person event on Thursday 7 July after two years of online presentations. St George’s Park in Burton Upon Trent, home of the National Football Centre, will host the briefing, featuring a high-profile line up of road safety stakeholders and tyre industry representatives who will deliver key information, demonstrations, and interactive exhibits. The event is open to pre-registered supporters and road safety stakeholders, with places allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Stuart Jackson, TyreSafe chair, calls the briefing “a huge milestone” for the organisation.
TyreSafe will launch this year’s Tyre Safety Month campaign materials at the briefing in preparation for October. The campaign materials provide a further push to raise the profile of tyre safety and performing regular checks, which the charity highlights throughout the year. The materials can be ordered online and many can be dual-branded by supporters.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to view selected displays and stands highlighting road and tyre safety initiatives or technology.
In addition, the TyreSafe Awards gala dinner will follow the briefing in the evening of 7 July, celebrating and recognising achievements and work across the industry. Details of the categories and how to enter will follow shortly.
Stuart Jackson, TyreSafe Chair, said: “This year is a huge milestone for TyreSafe, as we celebrate reuniting the tyre safety community in person, once again, after a challenging period for everyone. The briefing will be as inspiring as it is informative, with the core objective that is carried across all TyreSafe’s activities, which is to drive awareness about tyre safety. More than just an incredible networking opportunity, the briefing provides crucial information and resources to continue with the life-saving campaigning that we do as a charity, and collectively with our supporters.”
