Hankook exhibiting at Road Transport Expo 2022

Road Transport Expo is a new commercial vehicle trade show that will take place at the NAEC Stoneleigh in Warwickshire between 30 June and 2 July. More than 90 exhibitors have signed up, including Hankook Tyre UK, which plans to showcase its portfolio of commercial tyres including the new SmartFlex AH51 and SmartFlexDH51. Visitors can find Hankook at Stand F4.

Introducing its latest products, the tyre maker shares that its design engineers employed the Hankook SmartLife concept when developing the SmartFlex AH51 and DH51. This places a particular focus upon sustainability and the need for products to always offer the highest possible performance – from the first millimetre of tread depth to the last.

Like all modern Hankook truck tyres, these two new treads are regroovable as well as retreadable. Hankook says the combination of its SmartLife Premium casing and Hankook Premium retreading ensures an increase in tyre life of up to 250 per cent.

Compared to their predecessors, both new patterns offer mileage performance improvements, with Hankook reporting 15 per cent better mileage for the steer axle tyre and 20 per cent for the drive axle fitment. Moreover, the tyre maker achieved a generational ten per cent reduction in rolling resistance for the SmartFlex AH51 and DH51, which contributes to a further reduction in fuel consumption when compared to the 31 series tyres. When calculating pence per mile performance, Hankook says both new SmartFlex treads are able to support economical fleet operations in an increasingly sustainable manner.
