Pirelli launches P Zero Race 4S for road bikes
Pirelli has introduced a new tyre, aimed specifically at road bikes. Named the P Zero Race 4S, it is the first 100 per cent made in Italy product since Pirelli’s return to the cycling arena since the company’s return to this market in 2017.
Manufactured at the newly-renovated Bollate plant, the new tyre supersedes the P Zero Velo 4S, offering superior performance and durability in winter conditions and, says Pirelli, even more so in summer.
It features a wider and shorter footprint, enhancing smoothness, puncture protection and cornering control. Like other tyres in the P Zero Race stable, the new tyre features a casing adapted to the new wider rim standards and is described by the manufacturer as the ‘perfect choice’ for those who want “a four season performance tyre that offers a racing feeling all year round.”
In keeping with all cycling tyres that leave the Bollate factory every P Zero Race 4S undergoes rigorous quality control and is equipped with a tracking barcode. The tyre’s features are further enhanced when paired with Pirelli’s lightweight and durable SmarTUBE TPU inner tubes, resulting in an ideal set-up.
The P Zero Race 4S is already available on the market in sizes 26-622 and 28-622 and additional sizes will be available in the future.
