Goodyear: We have accounted for all our associates
Goodyear has accounted for all its associates in Ukraine and “continues to monitor the situation and support associates and customers”. Writing in a statement sent in answer to Tyres & Accessories questions on the matter, a company spokesperson outlined Goodyear’s current position:
“In anticipation of the possibility of such a conflict, we put plans in place to ensure the safety of our associates, which is always our top priority. We have accounted for all of our associates and their families in Ukraine and know that they are currently safe. We will continue to monitor the situation and support our associates and our customers.”
Since Goodyear does not have manufacturing operations in Ukraine, Russia, or Belarus, the US-based company is less directly involved than some of its competitors. However, some raw materials used in manufacturing in Goodyear EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa region) are sourced from the affected area. “However, during any crisis, Goodyear implements a thorough Business Continuity Process and our EMEA and global Business Continuity team is currently working to ensure continued supply of raw materials from alternate sources”, the statement concluded.
