30 new GitiSynergy H2 sizes
Following on from a solid performance the 185/65 R15 tyre test recently performed by European motoring associations ADAC, ÖAMTC and TCS, Giti Tire has expanded the GitiSynergyH2 range with the addition of a further 30 sizes. The GitiSynergyH2 is now available in 46 passenger car, CUV and compact SUV sizes. The new size range covers 14- to 18-inch rim diameters, section widths from 165-235, series sizes from 50-70 and speed indices across T, H, V, W and Y. A GitiSynergyH2 fitment can now meet three-quarters of standard and high performance demand around Europe, and over 94 per cent of the top 80 most required summer sizes.
“The GitiSynergyH2 was unveiled when it secured a number of OE fitments with the VW Group as our first European A/A labelled tyre, and since its aftermarket launch demand has been high,” says Fabio Pecci-Boriani, senior product manager PCR, SUV, Light Truck for Giti Tire (Europe). “To add the ADAC ‘good’ rating to its list of achievements is another cause for celebration, and as more-and-more motorists fit this tyre we will receive more feedback on its undeniable quality, efficiency and performance.”
Designed & engineered in Europe
Aimed primarily at compact and family cars, crossover vehicles and small SUVs, the core characteristics of the GitiSynergyH2 are listed as safety without worry, energy efficiency and precise control. Giti Tire designed and engineered the tyre at its European Research & Development Centre in Hannover, Germany, with testing at the company’s MIRA facility in the UK as well as key locations in Germany and Spain.
GitiSynergyH2 is the first European tyre to utilise the AdvanZtech technology platform, the manufacturer’s globally-integrated, company-wide R&D system that “boosts the sharing and utilisation of specialised and advanced technology to create tyres which enhance the overall driving experience.” According to the tyre maker, the results are a completely new developed tread compound that delivers a seven per cent improvement in wet braking, a five per cent enhancement in dry handling and a three per cent increase in dry braking over the previous generation pattern.
Additionally, a new tread pattern layout provides precise and stable handling behaviour and a four per cent improvement in aquaplaning resistance. The mileage potential, dependent upon driving characteristics, could be improved by almost 20 per cent while the new lightweight casing delivers low rolling resistance which improves fuel efficiency.
