Tyrenet launches online, public-facing service
Tyrenet has launched an on-line solution designed to enable stricken truck and van drivers to “quickly place an enquiry to repair or replace a tyre 24/7”. According to the company, Tyrenet.net will enable a driver to get back on the road in 90 minutes, halving experience of three-hour downtime.
Managing director Mike Riley, explained: “The website is the latest streamlining solution to speed up the whole process of a roadside tyre repair or replacement and gives the driver or fleet manager access to over 1,000 independent tyre dealers nationwide who can respond within 60-90 minutes”.
The team aim to answer a call or web-based order within 6 seconds and then locate the nearest tyre dealer to get the job done as quickly as possible.
Riley continued: “I’ve been involved with tyres all my working life and we fully understand the urgency and importance of getting a truck back on the road. Any delay can be much more costly than the tyre itself so that is our prime focus, to get that vehicle back on the road so that the driver doesn’t miss a delivery slot or unnecessarily use up his driving time.”
Tyrenet is reportedly “the UK’s biggest network of qualified tyre dealers and fitters who carry out tyre maintenance for fleets regionally and nationally”. Tyrenet also provides an overriding national emergency service that many tyre dealers offer to their fleets as an extension of their own service, so that any emergency can be dealt with beyond their reach. As a result, Tyrenet handles over 200 emergencies every day and not just for UK-based fleets.
