Road Hero supplying Kwik Fit
Road Hero is supplying its spare wheel solution to Kwik Fit. The deal means over 600 Kwik Fit centres are able to “both tailor and equip Road Hero kits for their customers, ensuring that the dread of getting a puncture when you travel becomes the stuff of mere inconvenience…”
According to the company, each Road Hero kit is “precisely tailored for each car, specific to the model, year and body style”. Kwik Fit customers will be able to buy a tailored kit for their car from their local branch. Not only including the spare wheel, jack and brace that you might rightly expect, but also a warning triangle, hi-vis vest, head torch, rain poncho, kneeling mat, dirty wheel bag and even heavy duty gloves.
The spare wheel itself is of the alloy ‘space saver’ type, meaning it’s not only light in weight, but easy to handle. The tyres fitted are good for at least 50 miles at a top speed of 80 km/h.
Commenting for Kwik Fit, Sam Spray, head of category management – servicing, maintenance and repair, said: “We’re delighted to offer Road Hero as an additional step in keeping motorists safe on the road. Tyre safety is critical when driving, but even the most fastidiously maintained cars can get a puncture, and when they do, drivers can be stranded as the majority of new cars leave the showroom without any kind of spare wheel. Road Hero means our customers will quickly, safely and easily be able to continue their onward journey with the minimum of fuss.”
Dave McMillan, sales director of Road Hero UK commented: “We’re delighted to have partnered with Kwik Fit, the most recognised and trusted British brand in tyres and servicing. We’re sure that by being able to choose and order their Road Hero kit either online at Kwik-Fit’s website or from their local Kwik Fit centre, it’s going to be even easier for motorists to make sure they’re prepared, whatever the road ahead might bring.”
