Kraiburg Austria records pleasing growth
Retreading specialist Kraiburg Austria has expressed satisfaction with its performance in 2021 and reports pleasing sales growth in all product segments. The company recorded sales of 75.5 million euros, a 13 per cent increase compared with the previous year.
The Geretsburg, Austria-based firm achieved this significant increase in sales and turnover with mould cure compounds, reporting that sales growth for high-performance compounds in the mould cure segment was particularly strong, as well as its K_base, K_plus and K_tech treads. In addition to its products and services performing strongly in the key market of Germany, Kraiburg Austria also achieved sustainable growth in Southern European markets such as Italy and Spain, within Central Europe, including Bosnia, Bulgaria, Croatia and Poland, and in Scandinavia, especially Sweden.
“Against the background of the demanding logistics situation, limited availability of raw materials, exploding energy costs as well as the general pandemic-related restrictions, we are more than pleased with the result,” comments Stefan Mayrhofer, managing director of Kraiburg Austria. “We will continue to keep a watchful eye on all developments and challenges in 2022.” The aim will be to make the best of opportunities and continue providing retreading industry customers with individual and cooperative support.
“Demand for retread tyres is still good,” adds Holger Düx, sales manager at Kraiburg Austria. “Due to delivery bottlenecks the availability of cheap Asian tyres on the one hand and certain new tyre models on the other hand is still reduced. Our goal is to win new users of Kraiburg quality tyres as regular customers.”
Customers who opt for retreaded tyres from Kraiburg “follow not only a quality but also a sustainable course.” Kraiburg Austria says this awareness has always been part of its DNA – and is now reflected in a comprehensive environmental strategy that the EMAS-certified company intends to expand this year.
