Colmec names new CEO, head of sales

Swedish retreader and tyre distributor Colmec Group has appointed former vice-president Patrick Sjölin to the position of chief executive officer. He succeeds company owner Peter Eckerström, who will now support the organisation as a senior advisor and chairman of the board. At the same time, Mats-Johan Adner joins Colmec as its head of sales for all markets in which the company is present.

Adner brings substantial tyre industry experience with him to the role, particularly in the truck and bus segment.
His tyre industry career began with Bridgestone in 1989; Adner spent 23 years in various positions within Bridgestone Sweden, including as managing director from 2000 to 2012. Later positions include three and a half years as sales director at Hankook Tire Sweden as well as a short stint with Lassa Tyres Nordic.

Colmec Group operates in Sweden, Poland, Norway, Finland, Denmark and Iceland and retreads truck tyres at its plants in Norrköping, Sweden and Rudno, Poland.
