4Jet wins 10 million euro order with ‘top 5 tyre manufacturer’
4Jet Group reports that it has received new orders worth over 10 million euros from “one of the world’s leading tyre manufacturers”. The machines will be delivered to several of the customer’s production sites in North America, Europe and Asia in 2022 and 2023. The agreement covers laser systems for marking tyres with machine-readable QR codes or logos, mould cleaning, and gluing preparation for e-mobility tyres.
As a result of the recent success, as well as forthcoming plans, 4Jet expects sales growth of around 15 per cent in the current fiscal year, up from around 10 per cent in fiscal 2021, due to continued strong order intake across all product lines. As a result, up to 25 additional positions will be added by the end of the year.
“We are pleased to support important trends in the tyre industry with our technology-leading systems: Traceability, emission reduction and tires for electromobility are hardly feasible without laser processes” Robert Hillmann, Head of the Tire Business Unit commented.
4Jet describes itself as “the market leader in laser material processing of tyres” and further reports that “almost all of the global top 15 manufacturers” are among its customers. Through subsidiaries in Atlanta (USA) and Shanghai (China), 4Jet offers local support in sales and service even during the pandemic travel restrictions. The development of the systems takes place at the company’s site in Germany, where it employs around 150 people.
