Point S continues strategic tyre retail growth in China and Singapore
More than two years after the company first announced it was renewing its efforts to grow its tyre retail business in China, Point S is celebrating the opening of two more centres in the People’s Republic.
The addition of Point S branded garages at the Zhejiang and Jiangsu motorway rest stops demonstrates the retail group’s continued efforts to lay claim to its part of the enormous Chinese domestic replacement tyre demand.
Meanwhile over in Sinapore, the Automobile Association of Singapore (AA Singapore)’s investment arm, AAS Investment Holdings Pte Ltd, entered into a long-term strategic partnership with BCC Automotive Pte Ltd, (formerly known as Billy Carcare), a well-established local automobile repair chain store in early January 2022. BCC is the master franchisee of Point S Singapore.
BCC Automotive Pte Ltd started in 1975 as a Mobil Service Station dealer workshop. As part of the collaboration, BCC Automotive will be extending its array of specialised automobile repair and servicing solutions to AA Singapore.
“We are pleased to announce that the partnership with BCC Automotive Pte Ltd will allow AA Singapore to expand and enhance our current suite of motoring-related services for our members,” said Lee Wai Mun, CEO of AA Singapore. “This partnership underscores AA Singapore’s commitment in providing quality services to best serve the needs of our members as we progress in our journey to become an integrated one-stop service for motorists in Singapore.”
“BCC Automotive has always been a close working partner of AA Singapore for many years and we are excited about strengthening ties with the leading motoring association in Singapore,” said Mr Francis Lim, managing director of BCC Automotive. “With a long history in the automotive repair industry and expertise built over the years, this enables BCC Automotive to be able to provide a holistic auto-related service that will meet the needs of our customers, be it routine maintenance, mechanical repairs, fleet management, or even accident claims services.”
